Dr. Poonam Khurana is a pediatrician specialized in neonatology. She completed her pediatric residency at Lincoln Medical Center, Cornell University, New York and her neonatology fellowship at St. Christopher Hospital for Children, Drexel University in Philadelphia where she served as a clinical instructor of pediatrics. She is currently an associate professor of clinical pediatrics, section of neonatal-perinatal medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine. She practices neonatology at the Riley Maternity Tower and Eskenazi neonatal intensive care units. A diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics, Khurana is certified in the sub-board of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and licensed to practice medicine in five states. Dr. Khurana is the President of APAFSC (2014-2017, 2023-2024) and the director of the "American English for Internationals” (AEI) program. The mission of AEI is to help international medical professionals empower themselves with effective communication skills in the context of the American language and cultural norms.
