What is an Out List?
An Out List is a list of LGBTQ+ identified faculty and staff at a university.
Why is an Out List important?
Being out is powerful. It lets other people know that it's okay to be LGBTQ+ in the workplace. It shows students that they have mentors and role models that they can connect with. It fosters a sense of community and belonging. It progresses a culture of openness and acceptance.

I am working to become a member of the Indy Pride Board / Slate Committee. Having been an IUPUI employee for a number of years, I feel very accepted for who I am, and I would like to become more active in helping others to feel safe to do so as well.

Zach Cramer
Residence Coordinator for Programming and Advising
This is my first year working at IUPUI, but I've lived in the Midwest most of my life and have navigated a number of colleges as a queer person. I want to be a part of helping to make IUPUI an inclusive space, through my work and my presence on campus. If students need assistance going through the housing process, getting involved on campus, or want to talk about anything I'd be happy to do so!

I want to connect with others in the LGBTQ community and provide support to those who need it. My journey toward identity exploration was a lonely one, and I think it's important for others to see that there is a community they belong to. Over time I've learned how important it is to be able to express your truest self. I'm proud to share who I am and hope to inspire others to feel the same.
