Before joining AES, Heidi earned bachelor's degrees in Criminal Justice and Religious Studies from Indiana University in Bloomington. While working for Child Protective Services in Ohio, she earned an additional Associate's Degree in Interpreting/Transliterating at Columbus State Community College. Heidi is nationally certified and has been a staff interpreter for more than fifteen years. She works on and off campus as an ally to the d/Deaf Community, to bring equity and inclusion to this diverse linguistic and cultural minority. Heidi also heavily invests in mentoring the next generation of interpreters.
