Welcome,
The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Faculty & Staff Council is here to serve IUPUI faculty and staff who identify as a member of the greater LGBT community and those allies who share its common concerns, ideas, and pride.
Our membership is also open to all faculty and staff, as well as graduate students in any of the academic programs offered at IUPUI. It is our mission to provide networking opportunities, educational forums, and a voice with the administration on the issues which matter to the LGBT community at IUPUI.
The Council began to form in 2008 in its current structure and now works closely with the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion along with the other affinity councils: Black Faculty & Staff Council, Latino Faculty Staff Council, Native American Faculty Staff Council, and Asian American and Pacific Islander Faculty Staff Council.
We encourage you to get involved in whichever way suits you best: Adding your name to our confidential listserv for news on important issues affecting the LGBT community at IUPUI, attending any of our social functions, lectures, and special events, attending our open meetings throughout the year. The most important thing you can do is be counted and stay informed.
Please explore our website for current programs and services, and let us know how we can better serve you.
Sincerely,
Anthony A. Masseria, MS Ed.
