Dan Griffith is Director of the Office of Conflict Resolution and Dialogue Programs. He provides training and consultation on issues related to conflict management and dialogue facilitation for leaders, administrators, employees, and academic and administrative units. He also mediates interpersonal and workplace conflicts for staff, faculty, and others. He co-leads the IUPUI Intergroup Dialogue Initiative, including co-facilitating dialogue processes and conversations on race, gender, sexual orientation, and other social identities, and supporting faculty in implementing the IUPUI Undergraduate Certificate in Intergroup Dialogue. Dan collaborates with the IUPUI Office of Equal Opportunity to facilitate a Mediation Training program to develop university peer mediators to address basic conflict situations and communication challenges. He is Chair of the IUPUI Equal Opportunity Council and is a member of the university bias incident reporting team.
Dan teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in Negotiations and Alternative Dispute Resolution for the IU O’Neill School of Public and Environment Affairs, and a Mediation Practice course for the IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law. He previously taught graduate and undergraduate courses in human resources management, organizational leadership, and diversity. A licensed attorney and registered civil mediator, Dan earned his J.D. degree from the IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law. He also holds certifications in human resource management.
